Communicating a Complaint or Concern

Your child's teacher will be the first point of communication for any concerns.  If the concerns are not resolved, you may make an appointment to meet with an administrator; an appointment can be made by contacting the front office (559) 625-8527. Typically, administrators will have the teacher attend the meeting in order to solve issues and misunderstandings quickly.

We thank you for respecting our time and daily schedules as we serve your children.  Therefore, we require appointments - the administration is not able to accept walk-in meetings.  You may also email administration and/or other staff; emails will be answered within 24 hours. (Please email directly - Facebook is not an appropriate venue for complaints.)

Administrators to speak with regarding teacher issues:

  • Carissa Judson Akers - cjudson@vlcs.org

  • Megan Carlton , Walnut - mcarlton@vlcs.org

  • Lori Lackey, Walnut - llackey@vlcs.org

General Complaints

There are various paths to filing complaints. If it is a general complaint, please use the GENERAL COMPLAINT POLICY FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION - 1312.1. This page includes the administrative regulations regarding complaints, who may file a complaint, how to file a complaint, and the timeline in which to file a complaint.

If your concern remains unresolved after meeting with an administrator, you may file a complaint to be reviewed by the appropriate staff member.
